Das als Viertel mit Blick auf die Alhambra bekannte Sacromonte zieht Besucher in die Hügel oberhalb Granadas, am Tage und nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit, wo Musik und Tanz das Leben bestimmen. In den Höhlen an der schmalen Straße Camino de Sacromonte finden mitreißende Flamenco-Shows statt. Das Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte zeigt in die Felsen gehauene Häuser und das Kloster Abadía del Sacromonte bietet neben ausgestellten Relikten in den alten Katakomben einen Panoramablick auf die Stadt. Vom Kloster führt ein Wander- und Autoweg ( nur PKW kommen durch das Tor ) zum Mirador San Nivolas
The Sacromonte, known as the quarter overlooking the Alhambra, draws visitors into the hills above Granada, during the day and after dark, where music and dance determine life. Thrilling flamenco shows take place in the caves on the narrow Camino de Sacromonte street. The Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte shows houses hewn out of the rocks and the Abadía del Sacromonte Monastery, in addition to exhibiting relics in the old catacombs, offers a panoramic view of the city. A hiking and car path leads from the monastery (only cars come through the gate) to the Mirador San Nivolas
